I wouldn't feel happy tackling the project unless I could be sure this can be catered for. My real concern is that the Millennium has a stitch regulator to ensure a pre-set number of stitches per inch are produced regardless of the speed of movement of the stitching head.ĭoes anyone have any knowledge of how to tap into this so the speed of the steppers and the stitching remain in step (pardon the pun!)? This should in principle be no more difficult than CNC anything else (router, etc) in terms of mechanics and basic electronics to drive the steppers - although there will be a need to translate patterns into G-code. I have wanted to explore putting a CNC facility on it for a while now, to allow her to mechanise repetitive tasks. Hi guys, my wife has a Millennium, had it for 4 years or so by now and is turning out good work on it.
